The Aventon Current EXP is an eMTB built for riders who want real trail performance with seamless tech integration and top tier power delivery. Designed around Aventon’s Ultro X mid-drive motor, 140mm of rear travel, and a 150mm fork, the Current blends modern geometry, balanced suspension, and in-house technology to deliver full capability on every climb and confidence on every descent. Its 29" wheels, 64.6 degree head angle, 76.6 degree seat tube angle, and 445 millimeter chainstays create a ride that feels planted and capable while staying responsive and playful. Every detail of the Current is designed to make trail riding more accessible and enjoyable. It features Aventon’s wireless control pad and touchscreen display for intuitive on-trail control, plus full ACU connectivity with 4G connection, GPS tracking, an integrated alarm system, and more. Riders can personalize motor performance with Ride Tune customization, and make the most of their rides with integrated tech like Wheel Lift Control and Air Time tracking. Maxxis tubeless compatible tires along with Sram and Rockshox components ensure that the Current feels ready for anything from backcountry adventures to smashing singletrack.
Trail performance
A carbon front triangle and higher-end RockShox suspension give the EXP a lighter, sharper feel on the trail.
Saves weight and adds stiffness where it counts, so the bike feels quicker and more precise. About 24 kg (53 lb) all in.
A 64.6° head angle, 76.6° seat angle and 445 mm chainstays climb well and stay calm when things get steep.
150 mm Lyrik Select fork and Super Deluxe Select+ shock (140 mm) handle bigger hits and keep the tires on the ground.
Power & range
The Ultro X mid-drive responds to how hard you pedal, and the 800 Wh battery keeps going after most riders call it a day.
110 Nm normally and 120 Nm in BOOST. Enough to get up climbs that used to mean pushing.
Ride Tune in the Aventon app lets you adjust how much assist you get and how quickly it kicks in.
The 800 Wh integrated battery covers big loops. Range depends on rider weight, terrain and assist level*.
Up to 850 W peak and 500% support for steep, technical climbs.
Pop it out to charge indoors. A full charge takes about 6 hours with the included 4 A charger.
Components
Wireless shifting, SRAM Maven brakes and a proven dropper post, spec'd for riders who push hard.
12-speed with an AXS shift pod: crisp, wireless shifts across a 10–52T range, even under load.
SRAM's most powerful brake family, with 200 mm rotors front and rear for control on long descents.
X-Fusion Manic dropper (150 mm S/M, 170 mm L/XL) and a frame layout built for real trail riding.
Smart tech
4G, GPS, security and ride data are built into the bike and the Aventon app, and they improve with software updates.
Records your jumps and air time so you can track your progress.
Helps keep the front wheel down on steep, punchy climbs.
A customizable top-tube touchscreen with a wireless control pad on the bar.
Adjusts assist automatically based on how you ride, so you don't have to keep switching modes.
Keeps assist going for a moment after you stop pedalling so you can clear ledges and technical moves.
Integrated alarm and GPS location tracking give you more peace of mind at the trailhead.
Always connected for tracking, alerts and over-the-air updates.
See ride stats and bike info on your wrist.
